About us

My name is Vayda, I started Veava (formally VayKay Swim) when I was 21 years old in the hopes to create a swimwear business that has a whole lot of heart but only a little footprint! It’s always been a dream of mine to start my own swimwear label but I’ve always looked down on mass production and wanted to create pieces that are unique and in the hopes people will cherish forever!

A lot of you may know me, a lot of you may not, but I grew up in the beautiful town of Bellingen, roughly twenty minutes south of Sawtell, life has been a whirlwind of a ride since the start but without that I know for sure I wouldn't be in the position I am in today! I am one of four kids and was brought up on the beach and in the pool, constantly in swimmers and constantly sunkissed. 

When I started Veava you would catch me either napping or at the beach when I'm not working my 40+ hr weeks (I know that's not really that much but I'm a bit of a sook), which is part of the reason that inspired me to buy my van, because how good is napping while at the beach!

My dream has now come into fruition and I have created my baby buisness that is a sustainable (+handmade!), small batch swimwear brand while living full time on the road, sewing all of these sick kini's right out of my van, pinch me now this is the life that I've been dreaming of! All while only creating my unique little foot print in this crazy world.

I would love nothing more than to take you on this journey and I can not wait to see what this next little adventure has in store for me.
